Mille1 is a project of the Pratello winery, which is located on the Morainic hills on the southwestern slopes of Lake Garda in the province of Lombardy. The blend of Mille1, includes a unique grape, Rebo, a cross between Teroldogo and Merlot that was developed in Northern Italy in 1920 by a researcher named Rebo Rigotti. The 40% Rebo gives Mille1 aromas of underbrush and blackberries as well as structure. The 40% of Merlot in the blend undergoes appassimento process (drying) for 25-30 days. The remaining 20% is Corvina, most well-known as the main grape of Valpolicella. After blending the wine is aged for 6 months in 500L French oak barrels
