The unique box depicts Amour de Deutz: Symbol and Guardian of the Maison. The celebration of love has been central to the Deutz ethos since the Maison’s founding in 1838. In the courtyard just beyond the entry portal of Maison Deutz sits a bronze statue of a cherub, perched demurely on a conch. Symbol of love, “Amour” greets visitors and keeps watch over the Maison.
The color of the wine is an intense gold with fine effervescence that signifies long maturation on the lees. On the nose, the wine initially displays notes of hawthorn and white flowers, which are followed by aromas of toast, marzipan and ripe pears. On the palate, the wine is full bodied and elegant with the freshness of Chardonnay and richness of Pinot Noir. Overall, the wine is well-rounded with a fruity finish.
